Solid Wood Wine Glasses

From $52.00

The glasses with the intertwined rings around the stem are often referred to as "Irish Wedding Glasses" due to their origins among the bodgers of old Ireland. (A 'bodger' was a traveling carver or woodturner who supplied households and farmsteads with the treenware needed to maintain a household.)

The full wooden glasses without the ring I refer to as "Anniversary glasses" since the first set I made was for a couple celebrating their fifth wedding anniversary.  The traditional gift for the fifth anniversary is wood.  Of course they are not all for anniversary gifts, but the name seems to fit the glass type.

Look through the examples to whet your appetite, and when you have an idea of what you want, fill out the form and let's get started on designing, pricing, and making your idea real.
